What documents do I need to present at the airport?
For Colombian citizens: a citizenship card, ID card, or civil registry certificate, depending on age. For foreign citizens: please check with your country’s immigration authorities to determine which documents are required to enter Colombia. At the airport, you must purchase an entry card; this is not included in the travel package and costs approximately $50,000 per person. Children under 7 years of age must present the following when boarding the flight: an original or copy of the civil registry certificate issued by a notary public and bearing original seals.
Children between 7 and 17 years of age must present a valid identity card and an original civil registry certificate. Notes: Under no circumstances will photocopies or images of the document be accepted. Minors not traveling with their parents must carry a guardian’s or custodian’s permission letter, duly notarized.
What currency is accepted at the hotel and at the destination?
Colombian pesos. You can pay with credit and debit cards; most credit cards are accepted. There are no ATMs at the hotel.
Do they require vaccinations for this destination?
It is not a requirement. However, the yellow fever vaccine is recommended provided there are no medical contraindications; it must be administered at least 10 days before travel.
Are there any special recommendations for the trip?
Always use sunscreen (biodegradable is recommended), bring mosquito repellent (not in aerosol form), and wear hats, caps, and/or other sun protection. Preferably wear lightweight, breathable, comfortable clothing and sunglasses, and stay hydrated at all times. If you leave the hotel, you must arrange your return transportation directly and in advance to avoid any issues due to the distance.
IMPORTANT Regarding the transfer from Leticia to the hotel:
The last departure is at 3:00 p.m. If your flight arrives in Leticia around or after 3:00 p.m., you will need to stay in Leticia that night, and this expense is not included, so it is at your own expense. Therefore, we recommend planning your itinerary with this in mind.
