What documents do I need to show at the airport?
For Colombian citizens, a national ID card, identity card, or civil registry certificate is required, depending on age. Foreign citizens should check with their country’s immigration authorities to determine which documents are required to enter Colombia. At the airport, you must purchase the entry card for San Andrés (required). Children under 7 years of age must present the following when boarding the flight: original civil registry certificate or a notarized copy with original seals. Children between 7 and 17 years of age must present a valid identity card and the original civil registry certificate.
Note: Under no circumstances will photocopies or images of the document be accepted. Minors who are not traveling with their parents must present a guardian’s or custodian’s permission form that has been duly notarized.
Are there any special recommendations for the trip?
Always use sunscreen (biodegradable is recommended), bring mosquito repellent (not in aerosol form), and wear hats, caps, and/or other sun protection. Preferably, wear lightweight, breathable, comfortable clothing, sunglasses, and stay hydrated at all times. If you leave the hotel, you should arrange your return transportation directly and in advance to avoid any inconveniences due to the distance.
Do you require vaccinations for the destination?
No, it is not required.
What currency is accepted at the hotel and at the destination?
Colombian pesos. You can pay with credit and debit cards; most credit cards are accepted. There are no ATMs at the hotel.
Hotel Policies
“1. Do not hang laundry or other objects from windows, railings, or in common areas.
2. Towels are for use exclusively inside the room.
3. In accordance with National Anti-Smoking Law 1335 of 2009, smoking is not permitted in guest rooms.
4. The use or consumption of hallucinogenic drugs is not permitted on hotel premises; any such incident will be reported to the authorities.
5. Tap water in the hotel is not suitable for human consumption.
6. Bringing food into and consuming it in guest rooms is not permitted.
7. It is not permitted to use speakers in guest rooms at excessive volumes that disturb the rest of other guests.
8. In accordance with Law 124 of 1994, the sale of alcoholic beverages to minors is prohibited.
9. Minors must always be accompanied by an adult in any area of the hotel.
10. Pets are not allowed.
11. Unregistered guests are not permitted on the hotel premises; they may only be attended to at the front desk.
12. We have security cameras; your data will be protected under Law 1581 of 2012 and the Video Surveillance Policy, which you can view on the website https://www.onvacation.com.
13. In accordance with Colombia’s Aeronautical Regulations, airlines do not accept passengers under the influence of alcohol; we are not responsible for decisions made by the airline.
14. In the event that minors arrive to stay with relatives other than their parents or with no family relationship, a notarized authorization from each parent will be required. A civil birth certificate or the minor’s ID card must be attached, along with a copy of the identification of the person(s) issuing the authorization. If the parents reside in another country, the corresponding authorization must be obtained from the consulate.
15. Do not leave personal items in public areas; the hotel is not responsible for any loss or damage.
18. If the room has a safe, we recommend using it to store valuables.
19. The use of drones is strictly prohibited inside the hotel and in guest accommodation areas.
20. Bringing food or beverages into the hotel is not permitted; doing so will incur additional charges.
21. Be sure to follow the pool rules, which are established and posted in the designated area.
22. The hotel is not responsible for personal items not kept in a safe or in the custody of the front desk.”
