Day 1, ISTANBUL
Arrival and meet-and-greet at the airport by our staff. Transfer to the hotel and check-in
Day 2, ISTANBUL:
Breakfast. Departure to explore the fascinating city of Istanbul. During our tour, we will see some of the historical and cultural gems of this unique metropolis, such as the walls of Constantinople, the bustling Yeni Cami Square, and as we cross the Galata Bridge over the “Golden Horn,” you’ll enjoy a panoramic view that will allow us to admire the imposing minarets of the mosques.
Finally, we’ll immerse ourselves in the vibrant Beyoglu district, a modern metropolis with influences from classical European architecture right at the gateway to the Middle East. The rest of the day is free, and we recommend considering optional excursions to make the most of your visit. Accommodation
Day 3, ISTANBUL – KUZGUNCUK – ANKARA:
Breakfast. Departure for the Asian side of Istanbul via the intercontinental bridge or ferry to reach Kuzguncuk, known as the neighborhood of Turkish soap operas. Free time in this charming neighborhood, known for its traditional architecture, cultural diversity, excellent cuisine, and its location along the Bosphorus. It offers a relaxed atmosphere and an authentic experience away from the tourist bustle.
Continue on to Ankara through the Bolu Mountains. Lunch. Arrival in the capital of the Republic and visit to the Mausoleum of Atatürk, founder of the Turkish Republic. Overnight stay and dinner.
Day 4 ANKARA – CAPPADOCIA:
Breakfast. Early departure for Cappadocia; along the way, we’ll see Turkey’s second-largest lake, Salt Lake. We’ll continue to the underground city of Özkonak or Saratli, excavated by early Christian communities. After the visit, Arrival in the wonderful region of Cappadocia, a blend of the whims of nature and human artistry. Lunch. Before arriving at our hotel, we’ll stop to watch the sunset from the Three Beauties fairy chimney viewpoint.
Lodging and dinner. Optional: In the evening, you can attend a folk dance performance in a traditional cave
Day 5: CAPPADOCIA:
Breakfast. We’ll start the day by visiting the Göreme Open-Air Museum, where we’ll admire the rock-cut churches decorated with frescoes. We’ll make stops in the beautiful valleys of Avcilar, Güvercinlik, and the Valley of Love, and take in the region’s most unique rock formations. Then, we’ll continue our tour to Çavuşin, a typical village in the region known for its houses reflecting different cultures.
We’ll make a brief stop in the Uçhisar Valley, where you can enjoy the view of the ancient fortress carved into the rock. Lunch. Finally, we’ll visit a shop specializing in jewelry and gemstones typical of Cappadocia, as well as a carpet workshop to learn about their production. At sunset, enjoy an exciting Jeep adventure through the valleys of Cappadocia: Cavusin Route: Killik Valley, Valley of Love, Valley of Roses, Valley of the Swords. Uçhisar Route: Valley of the Doves, Göreme Anten Tepesi, Valley of the Swords, Valley of Love, Valley of Roses. Ortahisar Route: Ortahisar Monastery, Ortahisar Castle, Pancarlik Valley, Red Valley. Accommodation and dinner. Optional: At sunrise, you will have the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia
Day 6: CAPPADOCIA – SULTANHANI – PAMUKKALE:
Breakfast and departure for Sultanhani, a historic 13th-century caravanserai (inn) that was once used by merchants on the Silk Road. We continue our journey through the province of Konya, known for being the home of the whirling dervishes. Lunch. Late afternoon arrival in Pamukkale, known as the “Cotton Castle,” a formation of white limestone cascades created by mineral springs. Accommodation and dinner
Day 7: Pamukkale – Ephesus – Izmir Area:
Breakfast and a visit to the stunning white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of the nearby Greek city of Hierapolis, founded by the second king of Pergamon in 190 BC. Travel to Ephesus, which was the capital of Asia Minor during the Roman era. Visit to notable sites such as the Library of Celsus, the Theater, and the Temple of Hadrian, etc. Next, we will visit the House of the Virgin Mary, considered the supposed final resting place of the mother of Jesus Christ. Lunch.
To round off the day, you’ll have the chance to attend a fashion show at a local leather export center. Overnight stay. Optional: At dawn, you’ll have the opportunity to take a hot-air balloon ride in Pamukkale
Day 8 IZMIR AREA – BURSA – ISTANBUL:
Breakfast and departure for Bursa, the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. We will visit the Green Mosque and the Green Mausoleum, two important historical monuments. We will also explore the lively Silk Bazaar. Lunch. In the late afternoon, travel to Istanbul, crossing the Bay of Izmir via a ferry or using the new bridge connecting the shores of the Sea of Marmara. Arrival and accommodation.
**If there is not a sufficient number of participants, the Izmir–Istanbul leg will be traveled by air, and in that case, it will not be possible to visit Bursa*
Day 9 ISTANBUL:
Breakfast. Free day to continue exploring the captivating city of Istanbul. With endless possibilities at your fingertips. We recommend joining optional tours to visit the city’s iconic landmarks. Accommodation
Day 10 ISTANBUL:
Breakfast and transfer to the airport
