What is the most common way to get to Girardot?
The most common and easiest way to reach Girardot is by land, due to its proximity to Bogotá (approximately 130 km) and the well-developed road network connecting it to other major cities. Girardot has the Santiago Vila Airport, located in the municipality of Flandes, 3.2 km away, although air traffic is limited. The nearest airports with the highest traffic are Perales Airport in Ibagué and El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá. For these reasons, most visitors prefer to arrive by road.
What documents do I need if I’m traveling by plane?
For Colombian citizens: a citizenship card, ID card, or birth certificate, depending on age. For foreign citizens: please check with your country’s immigration authorities to determine which documents are required to enter Colombia. Children under 7 years of age must present the following when boarding the flight: an original or notarized copy of their birth certificate with original seals. Children between 7 and 17 years of age must present a valid ID card and an original birth certificate. Notes: Under no circumstances will photocopies or images of the document be accepted. Minors not traveling with their parents must carry a guardian’s or custodian’s permission letter, duly notarized.
What currency is accepted at the hotel and at the destination?
Colombian pesos. You can pay with credit and debit cards; most credit cards are accepted. There are no ATMs at the hotel.

Currently, a vaccination certificate is not required to enter the city of Girardot

Always use sunscreen (biodegradable is recommended), bring mosquito repellent (we recommend non-aerosol types), and wear hats, caps, and/or other sun protection items. Preferably, wear lightweight, breathable, comfortable clothing and sunglasses, and stay hydrated at all times. If you leave the hotel, you should arrange your return transportation directly and in advance to avoid any inconveniences due to the distance.
